{SPC- playing catch up}

I am a couple weeks behind on posting my self portrait challenges. Its not that I have not taken them, its just I have not had much time to doing anything with them. So, without further ado...
Trust me, a later spc will be my piggies with a manicure!!

{SPC 7} A little late:

This shot I can not take any credit for. As I had mentioned in an earlier post, I was "lucky" enough to be a model for some photographers at a class they were taking and here is one shot that I really fell in love with. Janeal is the one who took this picture- didnt she do a great job?

{SPC- take 6}

This week I spent alot of time in front of the lens instead of behind it. I had the "pleasure" of being the subject (model- which im anything but) for a group in a photography class. Other than the chilly temps, it was actually quite fun!! We shot in quite a range of locations from an old, run down warehoue, to the beautiful Ivy Lane Reception Center.

{RocK StAr WanNaBE}

First of all... I feel a little conceded posting two self portraits back to back- ugh!! And second of all... Who do I think I am, a rock or star of something? Whats with the "Rachael Zoe" size sunglasses? For those of you dont know Rachael Zoe, she is an uber fabulous celebrity stylist and I totally wanna be her in some crazy way... OK, maybe just own her wardrobe!!!

Boy, I love photoshop...

all my wrinkles just disappear!!! I guess one good thing that comes out of these self portraits, is the fun I get to have in editing. When I am editing for a client, I feel like I have to play it safe, on some level, but when I have no one to please, other than myself, I can have a free for all in photoshop. I got a few new photoshop actions just recently so I put them to good use. I also shot this in black and white in camera as opposed to color and then converting to b/w in photoshop. I always love the way a true b/w photo looks but am hesitant to shoot that way for clients just in case they want it in color--- no switchen out that way.

{Week Three SPC}

Here it is, my third weeks self portrait challange shot. It was actually taken by my workshop insturctor while we were out on location. I really wanted all my images to be self shot, but I bent the rules a little on this one. I figured since it was shot with my camera and I had set all the functions etc., that it kinda counts. Plus its not very often I have someone to push the button other than a 7 yr. old.

Harder than I thought

This self portrait challenge is proving to be much harder than I anticipated. I'm only into it 2 weeks and I am already struggling on so many levels. Well this week is a perfect example of me not getting ready and being a little to insecure to get in front of the camera so I opted to photograph my feet in these comfy slipper-sock thingies. A bit ratty but boy are the comfy and warm.

SELF PORTRAIT CHALLENGE:

So for the past little while I have come across several fellow bloggers who have given themselves "self portrait challenges". I first discovered this from my blog designer, Carly of Playful Pickles Designs, (hope you dont mind me knocken off your idea) and then kept running across other photographers with similar ideas. It's mainly just me, trying to capture images of myself on a weekly basis. Its not suppose to be anything fancy, just a way to document the real me. I thought what a better time to embark on this journey than now, the beginning of a new year. I think this challenge will not only help me document myself but also allow me to get a sense of what it feels like to be on the other side of the lens. I'll apologize in advance for images that may not be the prettiest to look at cause I'll warn ya now, there's times when I don't get ready for days and the closest I come to make-up is a little finger paint and peanut butter from the days lunch.
