happy 35 baby!

Its funny how time can pass you by so quickly yet make you feel so old. It seems like only yesterday that my husband and I had our first date, shared our first kiss, bought our first home, welcomed our first child into the world. It seems like time has stood still while the world around us spins wildly out of control. Then you wake up one morning sandwiched between a couple kids with another crying in the background only to get up to a few new wrinkles and a handful of grey hair. How did we get to this point- where has the time gone? Although it is my husband that is celebrating is 35th birthday today, it defiantly puts time and age in perspective for me. I heard Carrie Underwoods song "Wasted" on the radio the other day and it really made me stop and think about the time that has past and time yet to come and how I have spent it. Have we wasted the last 35 years waiting for something bigger and better to come along or put off an opportunity only for a tomorrow that may never come? If so than I will start from this day forward to create that bigger and better something, grasp every opportunity that comes my way, experience life to the fullest. I do not want to waste a minute of my life and ever have any regrets.
Josh, happy birthday honey, I love you beyond expression. I look forward to spending a long life together, creating wonderful memories and experiencing all the joy that life has to offer with you by my side. I love you!!

For some reason I have very few photos of Josh and I but here we are at Navy Pier in Chigago just a few weeks ago.
